Algonquin Gas Cape Cod Project

The $15 million project consists of a proposed 3.5 mile natural gas pipeline that begins at the Mirant Energy Facility at the Cape Cod Canal and extends to a new meter station west of Route 130 in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Pipe jacking operations were required at a railroad crossing and roadway crossings at Route 6 and 6A for the pipeline. MGA conducted subsurface explorations in the area of the proposed crossings and developed geotechnical recommendations for use in the design of jacking pits and implementation of pipe jacking operations.
