Middlesex House of Corrections – New Dormitory

MGA provided geotechnical design phase services for a new housing expansion (2011) and a new dormitory (2013) at the Middlesex House of Corrections in Billerica, Massachusetts. MGA observed subsurface exploration programs consisting of test borings and test pits for each proposed project and provided recommendations for use in the design of foundations, slabs, and associated earthwork construction activities. Construction for both projects is slated to begin in the summer of 2013. MGA is scheduled to provide geotechnical over-site as well as construction observation services for the owner (DCAMM) during the earthwork phase of the project.
