Wellesley High School

This $133 million dollar, 280,000 square foot, 4-story building with associated parking was performed in phases with the final completed in 2012. MGA conducted subsurface investigations at the property and developed geotechnical recommendations for use in the design of buildings, pavements, and associated earthwork construction activities. The new building is supported on a combination of shallow foundations and steel H-piles. MGA’s analysis included the assessment of liquefaction susceptibility of natural soils. The project team relied on MGA to provide earthwork construction observation services during the construction phases.
